About the position

As a Specialist in HR Services at Mastercard, you will play a crucial role in responding to HR inquiries across various functional areas with professionalism, efficiency, and accuracy. Your primary responsibility will be to provide timely responses to employee inquiries while maintaining a high level of customer service in accordance with established Service Level Agreements (SLAs). The scope of your work will encompass the entire employee life cycle, including resourcing and recruitment, Visa issuance and renewal, employee relations, rewards, internal transfers, performance management, payroll, benefits, and terminations. You will also be responsible for escalating complex cases to Tier 2 or subject matter experts (SMEs) with complete documentation and follow-through until resolution. In this role, you will resolve complex HR inquiries and collaborate with the HRIS team to implement preventative solutions. You will manage higher complexity transaction processing, including organizational changes, job changes, and international assignments. Additionally, you will train new HR Tier 1 People Services staff and provide support and guidance to your team members. Your role will require you to conduct advanced technical support through research, analysis, and resolution of customer issues while ensuring compliance with audit requirements and confidentiality standards. You will be expected to identify process improvements independently and participate in their implementation. Your contributions will also include building the AskHR knowledgebase and developing user-experience documentation. Working in partnership with HR teams across all regions, you will ensure effective delivery of HR support and actions related to HR systems. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, articulate, and capable of developing and maintaining excellent working relationships while ensuring customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to HR inquiries across various functional areas in a timely manner.
  • Provide high-level customer service in accordance with established SLAs.

Requirements

  • Experience in HR services or a related field.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Broad knowledge of HR concepts and terminology.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic, high-volume environment.
  • Collaborative and team-oriented mindset.
  • Professional demeanor with strong time management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Experience with Workday is a plus.
