About the position

As a Specialist in HR Administration at XPO, you will play a crucial role in supporting various human resources functions. This position requires a proactive approach to recruiting and selection, benefits administration, onboarding, employee engagement, training, performance management, and employee relations. You will be responsible for conducting thorough onboarding and orientation for hourly employees, ensuring that all necessary paperwork is completed, and that new hires are familiar with XPO University and other essential tasks. Your administrative support will extend to leadership, assisting with the processing of terminations, compensation changes, promotions, and disciplinary actions, while acting as a liaison to People Services to facilitate these processes. In addition to onboarding, you will handle various administrative tasks, including processing and filing paperwork, responding to emails, answering phone calls, and maintaining site bulletin boards. You will also track and follow up on regulatory compliance and training, ensuring that all employees are informed and compliant with necessary requirements. Conducting exit interviews and providing feedback to the HR team will be part of your responsibilities, as well as performing Kronos audits under the direction of HR leadership and assisting employees with pay-related issues. Your role will also involve supporting the employee engagement committee, ensuring that employees are aware of and engaged in planned activities, and potentially assisting in organizing events. You may take on additional duties at the direction of HR leadership, which could include managing a small service center related to hourly employee recruitment and selection. Responsibilities

  • Support in recruiting and selection, benefits, onboarding, engagement, training, performance management, reward systems, and employee relations.
  • Conduct consistent and thorough onboarding and orientation of hourly employees, including paperwork and completion of new hire tasks.
  • Provide administrative support to leadership in processing terminations, compensation changes, promotions, and disciplinary actions.
  • Act as a liaison to People Services to execute HR tasks.
  • Conduct various administrative tasks such as processing and filing paperwork, responding to emails, and answering phone calls.
  • Report maintenance and distribution, maintain site bulletin boards, and track regulatory compliance and training.
  • Conduct exit interviews and share feedback with the HR team.
  • Conduct Kronos audits under the direction of HR leadership and assist employees with pay-related issues.
  • Support employee engagement committee activities and help organize events.
  • Execute various administrative tasks around hourly employee recruitment and selection.

Requirements

  • 1 year of related experience in human resources.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, human resources, or a related field (preferred).
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills.
