The JW Marriott San Francisco Union Square, located at 500 PostStreet, San Francisco, CA 94102 is currently hiring aSpecialist-Human Resources. Assist and support management and the leadership team with handlingand resolving Human Resources issues. Assist employees withinternal and external transfer requests and procedures. Monitor andassist managers/supervisors with hiring processes and issues.Coordinate and conduct applicant drug screens, reference checks,background checks, motor vehicle checks, and social security numberverification. Maintain applicant flow, drug screen, orientation andtransfer request logs. Create and maintain new hire and personnelfiles and enter them into Human Resources Information Systems.Assist with orientation of new employees. Monitor all hiring andrecruitment processes for compliance with all local, state, andfederal laws and company policies and standards. Ensure accuratemaintenance of all employee records and files (e.g., interviewdocuments, I-9's). Support processing and maintenance of payrollrecords in accordance with policies and procedures, as necessary.Inform Human Resources management of issues related to employeerelations within the division or property. Create and maintainfiling systems. Generate Human Resources data reports as necessaryAnswer phone calls and record messages. Create and type officecorrespondence using computer. Serve as Human Resources subjectmatter expert and participate on project teams. Train new hires onHuman Resources processes, programs, policies, information systems,etc. Follow all company policies and procedures; ensure uniform andpersonal appearance are clean and professional; maintainconfidentiality of proprietary information. Speak with others usingclear and professional language; prepare and review writtendocuments accurately and completely; answer telephones usingappropriate etiquette. Develop and maintain positive workingrelationships with others; support team to reach common goals;listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of otheremployees. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objectsweighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance.Perform other reasonable job duties as requested bySupervisors.
