About the position

The American Hospital Association (AHA) is seeking a Specialist in Human Resources Operations for its Chicago office. This hybrid role requires the employee to work three days in the office and two days remotely. The position is crucial for the administration of human resources processes that support the complete employee lifecycle, which includes recruiting, onboarding, benefits management, compensation, performance management, learning management, and offboarding. The Specialist will also manage the technologies that support these HR functions, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of employment information maintained within the systems. In this role, the Specialist will be responsible for the accurate and timely administration of employee lifecycle events. This includes managing processes related to recruiting, onboarding, benefits, compensation, performance, learning management, mentorship, and offboarding. The Specialist will review and recommend process changes to enhance efficiency and employee satisfaction, utilizing technology to automate routine tasks. Maintaining accurate employee records in compliance with regulations is essential, as is performing data audits to ensure data integrity, particularly for bi-weekly payroll. The Specialist will collaborate with system users to provide technical support, gather ideas for system improvements, and ensure ease of use. They will also conduct research and analysis to troubleshoot and resolve HR technology issues. The role requires the development and analysis of employee-data reports, including dashboards, and assisting with HR data requests for management. Additionally, the Specialist will create and maintain training resources and documentation to support system users, while staying updated on trends in HR functions and technology to recommend best practices and ensure compliance with regulations.

Requirements
