The Human Resources Specialist - Service Records plays a crucial role in the administration of service record data compliance within the organization. This position is responsible for a variety of tasks that include researching, analyzing, evaluating, interpreting, and administering service record data. The specialist will work closely with the payroll department and risk management to process and coordinate all employee leaves and absences, including those related to workers' compensation claims. This role requires a strong understanding of leave programs and applicable laws, as well as the ability to maintain both physical and computerized records for all district employees. In addition to managing service records, the Human Resources Specialist will assist with the employee orientation program, presenting information on leave benefits to new hires. The position demands excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, as the specialist will be required to handle incoming calls in a phone-intensive environment and provide optimal customer service to students, employees, parents, and community members. The ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines is essential, as is a keen attention to detail and strong analytical abilities. The specialist will also be responsible for performing mathematical calculations related to years of service and service record data adjustments. Maintaining confidentiality of personnel matters is critical, and the specialist must uphold and adhere to safety rules and policies of the SISD Safety program.
