The Specialist, Human Resources at Estes Forwarding Worldwide (EFW) plays a crucial role in supporting the HR department by managing various HR projects and tasks. The role involves maintaining employee records, conducting orientations, assisting with payroll audits, and supporting community outreach initiatives, among other responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and monitor HR email inbox.
• Assist with general employee inquiries.
• Conduct new employee orientation and process new hire paperwork.
• Assist with maintaining employee records and filing system.
• Maintain and update documents on the company intranet.
• Submit pre-employment background checks and drug screens.
• Attend career fairs and assist with organizing materials.
• Assist with payroll audits and various HR projects.
• Organize community outreach and employee events.
• Prepare outgoing mail and correspondence.
• Assist with HR phone screens and interviews.
• Monitor and respond to unemployment claims.
• Help maintain OSHA compliance.
• Process leave of absence requests and disability paperwork.

Requirements

• Associates degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
• 3-6 years of administrative support and human resources experience.
• Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office 2010, especially Word and Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and identify creative solutions.
