About the position

As an HR Specialist at Greens Creek Mine, you will play a crucial role in supporting the HR team by managing daily operations and ensuring efficient HR processes. This position involves recruiting and onboarding new employees, maintaining employee data for payroll and benefits, and overseeing leave administration. You will work closely with employees, supervisors, and the Payroll Administrator to facilitate smooth HR operations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the HR team.
  • Manage daily priorities to ensure smooth HR operations.
  • Recruit and onboard employees.
  • Manage employee data entry for payroll and benefits administration.
  • Oversee leave administration.
  • Schedule interviews and arrange travel for on-site interviews and pre-employment appointments.
  • Guide and track candidates through the hiring process.
  • Maintain new hire and applicant tracking systems, ensuring data accuracy and process integrity.
  • Explain health care benefits to employees and assist with enrollments, changes, and terminations in benefit plans.
  • Facilitate monthly new hire orientation classes.
  • Collaborate with department leaders and the Health & Safety department to ensure new hires receive necessary information and training.
  • Assist in facilitating training programs for employee development and monitor Learning Management Systems (LMS).
  • Serve as a valuable resource for employees on various administrative levels.

Requirements

  • Flexibility in managing tasks and priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and HRIS systems.
