About the position

The Specialist, Human Resources plays a crucial role in managing daily HR activities and supporting various HR functions within the Contact Center. This position acts as a business partner, focusing on employee relations, recruitment, and fostering a positive workplace culture. The role requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual who is passionate about working with people and maintaining confidentiality while contributing to the overall success of the HR department.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships across HR functions to understand essential process requirements and drive efficient resolution of problems.
  • Act as the first point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns, providing guidance on company policies and resolving issues promptly.
  • Facilitate discussions between employees and managers to resolve conflicts, ensuring fair handling aligned with company policies.
  • Guide management and deliver HR support and service aligned with organizational needs.
  • Work closely with managers to develop and drive HR activities and processes relative to employee performance.
  • Manage complaints about workplace behavior, performance, or other HR matters by conducting thorough investigations and making recommendations.
  • Assist with the administration of performance reviews for employees in the Contact Center.
  • Advise leadership on employee performance-related matters such as development plans and goal setting.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and clarify job requirements.
  • Manage the full-cycle recruitment process for all departments within the Contact Center.
  • Coordinate and schedule new hires for orientation and facilitate orientation for large groups.
  • Manage the termination process, including conducting exit interviews when applicable.
  • Ensure HR compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, including labor laws and company policies.
  • Support HR leadership with developing, revising, and communicating HR policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of comparable experience in an HR Specialist or Generalist role.
  • 2+ years of experience with full-cycle recruitment.
  • 2+ years of experience in Employee or Labor Relations.
  • 4 Year / Bachelor's Degree Preferred.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of current federal and multi-state employment laws.
  • Ability to understand business needs and connect those to human resources strategies.
  • Strong knowledge and experience using HRIS systems (experience with UKG is a plus).
  • Proficiency in MS Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills (writing, editing, verbal, and presentation).
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain confidentiality.
