About the position

The DEI & Talent Acquisition Coordinator role at Food Lion is focused on supporting the diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) strategy while also managing the full cycle recruiting process. This position is essential for coordinating DEI activities, managing Business Resource Groups, and ensuring a high-quality experience for candidates and hiring managers throughout the recruitment process.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development, coordination, and execution of activities in support of diversity, equity, and inclusion strategy and objectives.
  • Provide support in managing the Business Resource Groups, diversity council, diversity training, community partnerships, and DEI awards and communications.
  • Assist in producing reports and presentations to highlight progress against DEI metrics and action plans, as well as evaluation of ROI and associate satisfaction with internal and external DEI events and programs.
  • Assist in the development, coordination, and execution of sourcing, recruiting, and hiring activities in support of the full cycle recruiting process and campus recruiting activities.
  • Schedule candidates for interviews with the hiring teams, including coordination of travel arrangements; process candidate expense reports.
  • Track offer acceptances, initiate pre-employment activities, and coordinate and communicate with hiring managers on the onboarding process, and conduct new hire orientation sessions.
  • Assist in the execution of post requisition activities (e.g., requisition audits, hiring manager experience surveys, candidate experience surveys, etc.).
  • Represent Food Lion at events such as career fairs, DEI community partner events, networking functions, etc.
  • Create, update, and maintain departmental SharePoint sites, partner to ensure Leo is updated, monitor and respond to inquiries received via department Outlook accounts, and ensure timely responses to Voice of Retail inquiries and concerns.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1-3 years of directly related experience or similar administrative experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate with an incredible sense of urgency without compromising on attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects with minimal supervision.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or psychology.
  • Experience using applicant tracking systems.
  • Solid knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations governing recruitment, selection and hiring.
