About the position

The Talent Acquisition Specialist at Southwire Company, LLC plays a crucial role in the recruitment process, partnering closely with the Talent Acquisition Manager to deliver exceptional customer service and effective recruiting strategies across various Southwire locations. This position is pivotal in ensuring that the recruitment process aligns with the business needs while maintaining compliance with equal employment opportunity (EEO) laws and regulations. The Talent Acquisition Specialist will oversee the full cycle of recruitment, which includes sourcing, screening, interviewing, and extending offers to candidates for both hourly and salaried positions. The role requires a strong focus on communication and collaboration with hiring managers to understand the specific requirements, duties, and qualifications for each position. In addition to managing the recruitment process, the Talent Acquisition Specialist will identify the most effective methods for attracting candidates, which may involve posting job ads on the company’s website, social media channels, and relevant job boards. The specialist will also partner with third-party recruitment sources as necessary to enhance the candidate pool. Evaluating resumes, cover letters, and job applications is a key responsibility, along with arranging interviews and accommodations for candidates as needed. The specialist will conduct interviews to assess candidates' skills, knowledge, and experience, and will serve as a liaison between candidates and the company throughout the interview process. Furthermore, the role involves managing and updating systems and spreadsheets for all open requisitions, evaluating process improvement efforts to enhance customer service, and analyzing data related to recruiting performance and geographic needs. This position is based in an office setting, requiring the specialist to be on-site for more than four days a week, and may involve domestic travel up to 25% of the time.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the full cycle of recruitment including sourcing, screening, interviewing, testing (if applicable), and offers to candidates for both hourly and salary positions.
  • Consult with hiring managers to understand the requirements, duties, and qualifications desired for the specified position(s).
  • Identify the most effective methods for recruiting and attracting candidates.
  • Post job ads on the company's website, social media channels, and relevant job boards.
  • Partner with 3rd party recruitment sources as needed.
  • Evaluate resumes, cover letters, and job applications.
  • Arrange interviews, travel, and/or accommodations for applicants when needed.
  • Conduct interviews and evaluate the candidates' skills, knowledge, and experience.
  • Follow up with hiring managers and business partners after the interview process to determine whether a placement can be made.
  • Liaison between the candidate and the company during and throughout the interview process.
  • Manage and update systems/spreadsheets for all assigned open requisitions.
  • Evaluate process improvement efforts to increase customer service to all stakeholders through collaboration and communication.
  • Pull, analyze, and report data findings regarding recruiting performance, geographic data, and needs of each role as needed.
