About the position

The Specialist, Inflight Training Operations and Delivery at American Airlines is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of Flight Service Training, including managing training programs for Flight Attendants. This role involves coordinating with various teams, conducting briefings, and ensuring the smooth delivery of training while addressing any operational disruptions. The position requires strong leadership and conflict management skills to support the training initiatives effectively.

Responsibilities

• Leads and manages the daily operational delivery of Flight Service Training.
• Acts as the frontline point of contact for Flight Attendants attending training programs.
• Conducts daily shift briefings with the training team.
• Manages daily staffing and coordination with the Training Scheduling Team.
• Handles operational disruptions and off-schedule operations around training.
• Conducts daily checks on all training devices.
• Provides strategic operational input to Flight Service Training Leadership.
• Maintains and oversees the Instructor Evaluator Handbook.
• Collaborates positively and professionally with all team members.
• Ability to work some weekends and evenings throughout the month.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent training/experience.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Strong work ethic and integrity.
• Ability to lead and resolve conflicts within daily operations.
• Ability to support Flight Service Training initiatives.
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent conflict management and resolution skills.
• Ability to multi-task and complete projects.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of RES, DECS, and LMS.
• Prior instructor experience.
• Understanding of the roles and responsibilities of the Flight Service Training Delivery Team.
• Knowledge of flight attendant legalities and contractual obligations for scheduling removals and adjustments.
