About the position

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Specialist Integration/Test Engineer to join our team in Colorado Springs, CO. This position is integral to the development and testing of multiple ground-based mission systems and operations centers, supporting the entire lifecycle from program inception to test verification and deployment. The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment characterized by high expectations and diverse assignments, collaborating with a team of qualified and diverse individuals. The role involves defining complex test strategies to verify mission capabilities, coordinating with various internal organizations and subcontractors to ensure full integration and testing of the mission system. As a point-of-contact for the government customer, the engineer will be responsible for test planning and will work closely with government and stakeholder offices to define the test and evaluation plan. The Specialist Integration/Test Engineer will troubleshoot test failures based on inputs from the SEIT lead and test architect, complete specific test configuration details, develop test procedures, and implement and check out test sets and software. The engineer will also support the direction of test activities, including shift planning, and will identify risks and opportunities for specific test activities. Collaboration with system engineering and design teams is essential to optimize test capabilities early in the development lifecycle, ensuring that requirements are met and reused effectively. The role requires evaluating and defining hardware and software requirements necessary for the verification of system-level requirements, with a focus on Radio Frequency/SATCOM systems. Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot failures of tests based on test plan inputs provided by the SEIT lead and test architect.
  • Complete specific test configuration details, test procedure development, implementation & checkout of STE, test sets & test set software checkout, and analysis tools evaluation.
  • Support the directing of test activities, including supporting shift planning.
  • Identify risks & opportunities for specific test activities.
  • Work with and influence system engineering & design on architecture(s) and interfaces to optimize & include test capabilities early in the development life cycle.
  • Collaborate with systems and design engineering to identify requirements that will satisfy testing requirements, as well as reuse options.
  • Evaluate/Define requirements (hardware & software) needed for verification of System level requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience, or a Graduate Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience, or in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
  • Active Top Secret security clearance.

  • Excellent organization skills.
  • Comprehensive level knowledge of Electronic Warfare and System Engineering.
  • Familiarity with Boundary Scan/LabVIEW/MATLAB/other tools for instrument control.
  • Proficient at JIRA/Confluence (or equivalent).
