About the position

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Specialist in Integration/Test Engineering to join our team in Colorado Springs, CO. This role is pivotal in supporting the test efforts for the development of multiple ground-based mission systems and operations centers, from program inception through to test verification and deployment. The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment characterized by high expectations and diverse assignments, collaborating with a team of qualified and diverse individuals. The Specialist will be responsible for defining complex test strategies to verify mission capabilities, working closely with various internal organizations and subcontractors to ensure the full integration and testing of mission systems. As a Lead Integration & Test Engineer, you will serve as the primary point of contact for government customers regarding test planning, coordinating across government and stakeholder offices to define comprehensive test and evaluation plans. Your responsibilities will include troubleshooting test failures based on inputs from the Systems Engineering and Integration Test (SEIT) lead and test architect, completing specific test configuration details, developing test procedures, and implementing and checking out test sets and software. You will also be tasked with directing test activities, supporting shift planning, identifying risks and opportunities for specific test activities, and collaborating with system engineering and design teams to optimize test capabilities early in the development lifecycle. The role requires a strong understanding of system-level requirements and the ability to evaluate and define the necessary hardware and software for verification. Experience with Radio Frequency/SATCOM systems is essential, and familiarity with tools such as Boundary Scan, LabVIEW, and MATLAB is preferred. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational skills and a comprehensive knowledge of Electronic Warfare and System Engineering, along with proficiency in Agile and DevOps methodologies. Responsibilities

  • Define complex test strategies to verify mission capabilities.
  • Serve as the point-of-contact for government customers for test planning.
  • Coordinate across government and stakeholder offices to define the test and evaluation plan.
  • Troubleshoot failures of tests based on test plan inputs provided by the SEIT lead and test architect.
  • Complete specific test configuration details and develop test procedures.
  • Implement and check out test sets and test set software.
  • Support the directing of test activities, including shift planning.
  • Identify risks and opportunities for specific test activities.
  • Work with system engineering and design to optimize test capabilities early in the development life cycle.
  • Evaluate and define hardware and software requirements needed for verification of system-level requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience, or a Graduate Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience, or in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
  • Active Top Secret security clearance.
  • Experience with Radio Frequency/SATCOM systems.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Electronic Warfare and System Engineering.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with Boundary Scan, LabVIEW, MATLAB, and other tools for instrument control.
  • Proficient in JIRA and Confluence (or equivalent).
  • Experience in Agile and DevOps methodologies and culture.
  • Proficient in JAVA and C++ application software testing.
