About the position

The IT Procurement Specialist at CECO Environmental is responsible for managing all aspects of purchasing related to Information Technology across the company's global operations. This role focuses on efficiently supporting IT organizational needs through vendor management, contract lifecycle management, and procurement of IT resources. The specialist will oversee the full IT asset lifecycle, including planning, inventory tracking, and retirement, while ensuring that IT services align with production schedules and business demands.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of purchasing for IT equipment, tools, parts, and supplies.
• Generate purchase orders for IT resources and services.
• Oversee vendor and supplier management.
• Handle contract lifecycle management for IT procurement.
• Manage the full IT asset lifecycle, including planning, scheduling, deliveries, inventory tracking, and retirement.
• Procure third-party services to optimize IT service delivery.
• Support large project implementations related to IT.

Requirements

• Five to seven years of experience in IT-specific purchasing in a sub-contract, manufacturing, or project environment.
• Strong knowledge of supply chain management.
• Global hardware and software procurement experience.
• Familiarity with sourcing and vendor management.
• Ability to gather and analyze data effectively.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office.
• Solid judgment and decision-making skills.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
• Exceptional contract negotiation skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management or business administration preferred.
• Global hardware and software procurement experience preferred.
