About the position

The Materials Specialist at JetBlue Airways is responsible for maintaining the warehouse and managing stock for the Aircraft Maintenance Department. This role ensures an adequate supply of materials by performing data entry, inventory audits, and coordinating stock levels with various departments. The position requires physical labor, including heavy lifting, and involves working in a dynamic environment with flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Perform data entry into the computer inventory system for locating, issuing, receiving, and shipping materials.
• Load aircraft tires, brakes, and related aircraft parts and materials.
• Conduct inventory audits, inspections, and reconciliations of materials as directed by leadership.
• Monitor and update stock items, including minimum and maximum stock levels, and coordinate adjustments with relevant departments.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Diploma.
• One (1) year of experience with data entry or inventory management.
• Ability to pass and maintain rating to drive forklifts (4K to 18K), tugs, trucks, and other vehicles.
• Strong interpersonal and listening skills.
• Complete fluency in written and spoken English.
• Valid Driver License and a driving record that meets JetBlue Airways' insurance standards.
• Must pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug test.

Nice-to-haves

• One (1) year of warehouse experience.
