About the position

Venture Global LNG is seeking a Measurement Specialist to join the Integrated Production Excellence Team based in Cameron, LA with as needed travel to support the Venture Global LNG sites. The role involves developing, implementing, and maintaining a Metering and Measurements Management System for the Calcasieu Pass LNG facility and other facilities when required. The Measurement Specialist will collaborate with Field Measurement Technicians and Measurement Engineers on equipment and station design, upgrades, diagnostics, repairs, and troubleshooting of mechanical and electronic devices, instrumentation, and process control equipment. The position requires ensuring that all meters and measurements operate to the required design and uncertainty, maintaining the uncertainty of the metering and measurements system, and managing certification and calibration documentation as part of the Company's Documents Management System.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain a Metering and Measurements Management System for the Calcasieu Pass LNG facility and other facilities.
• Collaborate with Field Measurement Technicians and Measurement Engineers on equipment and station design, upgrades, diagnostics, repairs, and troubleshooting.
• Ensure all meters and measurements operate to the required design / uncertainty.
• Maintain the uncertainty of the metering and measurements system through the meters and measurements lifecycle.
• Calibrate and inspect all meters on a regular basis.
• Ensure all measurements are healthy and operate within design range and uncertainty.
• Manage metering and measurements system certification and calibration documentation.
• Document meters operational and maintenance procedures.
• Ensure compliance of metering systems with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Deliver production surveillance and monitoring requirements to support real-time surveillance and optimization.
• Support field installation, startup, and troubleshooting of field electronic and process control equipment.
• Ensure accurate collection and reliable communication of process data to company SCADA and billing systems.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret metering data to identify discrepancies or anomalies.
• Prepare regular reports on metering and measurements performance and uncertainties for key stakeholders.
• Research and provide recommendations on field electronics, process control, data acquisition, and communications equipment.
• Interface frequently with field Operations, Engineering, Local Engineering, and equipment vendors.
• Exercise independence in evaluating, selecting, and applying standard work practices and procedures under supervision.
• Maintain accurate documentation of metering systems, calibration records, maintenance logs, and operational procedures.

Requirements

• Proficient knowledge and application of remote terminal units (RTU), process control systems (PLC), data acquisition and communication equipment, and Human Machine Interface (HMI) integration software.
• Technical Authority with 5 to 10 years working on instrumentation, measurements, and metering with a demonstrated track record of managing Metering and Measurements Management Systems.
• Oil and Gas experience is required, with strong preference to LNG; petrochemical, NGL, cryogenic natural gas processing, or other hydrocarbon processing experience may be acceptable.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability in managing internal and external stakeholders.
• Planning, organizational, and/or project management skills.
• Effective oral and written communication skills, including technical writing.
• Ability to interpret codes, regulations, and standard practices.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Ability to process information quickly and manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Strong troubleshooting experience with process control equipment, field electronic devices, and communication equipment.
• Ability to provide training or instruction to less experienced colleagues.
• Ability to think analytically and solve complex problems.
