About the position

The Specialist, Onboarding Experience will play a crucial role in the People Operations team, focusing on enhancing the onboarding process for new employees across various departments. This position is designed for an individual who is organized, process-driven, and possesses a keen attention to detail. The Specialist will work closely with the Manager of Onboarding and will be responsible for developing and executing onboarding experiences tailored to different types of employees, including those in new accounts, acquisitions, and large-scale events. The role requires the ability to adapt existing processes to meet the unique needs of various employee populations while also creating training materials for field partners to ensure a smooth onboarding experience. In addition to developing onboarding processes, the Specialist will be tasked with delegating onboarding activities on-site to enhance the overall experience for new hires. Regular reviews and updates of onboarding procedures will be necessary to ensure they align with the evolving needs of the business. The Specialist will also be responsible for building retrospectives after each onboarding experience, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing process changes in collaboration with business partners. The role will involve evaluating and implementing tools to maintain data integrity within the HRIS system, specifically ICIMS, and finding opportunities for automation within the onboarding processes. The Specialist will need to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy. Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills are essential for this position, as is the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders across the organization. This position will require travel to various venues domestically, with an expectation of approximately 40% travel.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, plan, and execute the new hire onboarding experience in the field for new accounts, acquisitions, large scale events, and union specific hires while traveling onsite to carry out.
  • Delegate appropriate onboarding activities as needed onsite to help improve the overall experience for new hires.
  • Drive regular review, development and implementation of process changes and improvements to the onboarding procedures to fit various aspects of the business.
  • Build and report on retrospectives after each onboarding experience in the field and continue to run process improvement cycles with business partners.
  • Identify new opportunities for automation within onboarding aspects of HR processes and work with the Project Analyst to implement them.
  • Evaluate and implement tools to help maintain data integrity in ICIMS.
  • Develop new ways of reporting on the onboarding experience and build techniques to distribute and communicate progress.
  • Able to work collaboratively with various business partners in the field and across the people organization.
  • Ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy with highly confidential data.
  • Demonstrated experience and the use of analytical thinking and problem-solving.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 4 Years of Experience working in a Recruiting, HR Operations or Onboarding Role
  • 4 Years of Experience working with Microsoft Tools specifically Excel
  • 3 Years of Experience working in HRIS Systems
