About the position

The Specialist, Onboarding Experience will play a crucial role in the People Operations team at Oak View Group, focusing on enhancing the onboarding experience for new employees. This position is designed to support the onboarding requirements and develop processes that align support systems across the organization. The Specialist will collaborate closely with the Manager of Onboarding and various departments to provide guidance on the onboarding experience for business partners, particularly for new accounts and existing clients. The role involves creating and adapting current onboarding processes to cater to different employee populations, ensuring that the onboarding experience is tailored to meet diverse needs. Additionally, the Specialist will be responsible for creating training and educational materials for partners in the field, helping them understand and implement these adaptations effectively. The position requires travel to various venues across the country, which is essential for executing the onboarding experience in real-time for new accounts, acquisitions, and large-scale events. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, process-driven, and possess a keen attention to detail. They must be comfortable working independently and be adaptable to changing priorities as departmental needs evolve. Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with various HRIS systems are critical for success in this role. The Specialist will also need to manage sensitive and confidential information while thriving in a fast-paced work environment. In addition to the core responsibilities, the Specialist will engage in regular reviews and improvements of onboarding procedures, ensuring they align with the business's evolving needs. They will also identify opportunities for automation within HR processes related to onboarding and collaborate with the Project Analyst to implement these solutions. Reporting on the onboarding experience and maintaining data integrity in ICIMS are also key components of this role. Overall, the Specialist will contribute significantly to creating a positive onboarding experience that reflects the values and diversity of Oak View Group.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, plan, and execute the new hire onboarding experience in the field for new accounts, acquisitions, large scale events, and union specific hires while traveling onsite to carry out.
  • Delegate appropriate onboarding activities as needed onsite to help improve the overall experience for new hires.
  • Drive regular review, development and implementation of process changes and improvements to the onboarding procedures to fit various aspects of the business.
  • Build and report on retrospectives after each onboarding experience in the field and continue to run process improvement cycles with business partners.
  • Identify new opportunities for automation within onboarding aspects of HR processes and work with the Project Analyst to implement them.
  • Evaluate and implement tools to help maintain data integrity in ICIMS.
  • Develop new ways of reporting on the onboarding experience and build techniques to distribute and communicate progress.
  • Work collaboratively with various business partners in the field and across the people organization.
  • Collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy with highly confidential data.
  • Demonstrate experience and the use of analytical thinking and problem-solving.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 4 Years of Experience working in a Recruiting, HR Operations or Onboarding Role
  • 4 Years of Experience working with Microsoft Tools specifically Excel
  • 3 Years of Experience working in HRIS Systems
