About the position
The Operations Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting the Manufacturing Alliance team by identifying financial risks associated with external suppliers and developing strategies for resolution. This position involves direct communication with external service providers, impacting working capital and minimizing costs through effective inventory and production management. The specialist is also responsible for tracking and developing continuous improvement projects within the operations framework.
Responsibilities
- Provide daily support to the Manufacturing Alliances team in areas such as SAP scheduling agreements, inventory control, and materials sourcing.
- Create and maintain scheduling agreements and material master records in SAP.
- Work with Finance to validate interplant mix opportunities and facilitate SKU relocation.
- Identify, execute, and track continuous improvement opportunities, hosting meetings and facilitating ideation sessions.
- Monitor PLM projects and communicate updates with various departments, elevating critical issues related to new products.
- Manage limited warehouse space with co-packing and co-manufacturing facilities, identifying obsolete and damaged packaging materials for return to suppliers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business with an emphasis on Logistics, Operations, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in the supply chain area, focusing on manufacturing, planning, sourcing, or continuous improvement.
- Knowledge of supply chain management principles.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills (both verbal and written).
- Ability to adapt to changing conditions and work well in a team environment.
- Proficiency in MS Office products, particularly Excel, and experience with SAP or databases.
