About the position

The Specialist OSP Design Engineer role at AT&T involves planning, designing, and analyzing network components and infrastructure to support strategic technology goals. This position focuses on both Wireline and Wireless components, providing short- and long-term planning for access network technologies, including analysis and solution recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Recommends strategic network planning and network evolution policy decisions in support of corporate initiatives.
• Evaluates network capacity/performance criteria and develops strategies to accommodate network growth and change.
• Creates deliverables such as Plans of Record, Forecasts, Serving Plans, Use Permits, Cost Estimates, Handoffs, Workprints, and Utility Agreements.

Requirements

• Preferred Bachelor's of Science degree in Math, Science, or Engineering.
• Typically requires 1-2 years of experience in a related field.
• Working knowledge of technical principles and AT&T technologies.

Nice-to-haves

• Basic knowledge of engineering position, design tools, and databases.
