In this role, you will be responsible for the development and implementation of planning concepts and projects for the Paint-Shop department. You will coordinate and optimize materials and processes, create production plans, maintain a safe and ergonomic work environment, and ensure compliance with quality and environmental standards. You will also manage external personnel and service providers, and collaborate with various departments to achieve production goals.

Responsibilities

  • Development and creation as well as implementation of planning concepts and projects for the Paint-Shop department.
  • Coordination, planning, and optimization of Paint Shop materials and processes across different sequences.
  • Creation of production plans for all work sequences according to valid time finding procedures.
  • Maintain and create an ergonomic and requirement-oriented work environment in the Paint Shop.
  • Approval of technical specifications of production equipment and clarification of process and quality requirements with contractors and suppliers.
  • Creation of specifications, time schedules, and investment plans following economic standards.
  • Preparation of offers, comparative analyses, and purchase orders.
  • Realization of pre-series and production ramp-up to series operation.
  • Processing of planning orders, improvement proposals, and change requests.
  • Coordination of related departments, R&D, and operators to implement product design suggestions and identify optimization measures.
  • Assumption of special tasks corresponding to the skills and duties of the job holder.
  • Steering/coordination of external personnel/service providers.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional experience in automotive production, with expertise in achieving stable production processes and in-depth knowledge of Paint Shop processes and materials.
  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in chemical, material engineering, or related fields.
  • Experience in tracking, motivating, and leading contractors in the paint shop environment.
  • Ability to manage complex projects and solve technical conflicts with appropriate management involvement.
  • Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
