About the position

The Payroll Compliance Specialist is responsible for establishing and maintaining employee payroll records, ensuring quality processing services, and delivering error-free payroll to team members. This role supports projects related to outsourced services for acquired organizations and assists in setting up tax locations in the Payroll system. The specialist will also maintain payroll tax reporting records, support audits, and reconcile payroll tax and garnishment payments for accuracy and timeliness.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain employee payroll records.
• Provide quality processing services and error-free payroll to team members.
• Support projects to set up outsourced services for acquired organizations.
• Assist with setting up tax locations in the Payroll system and ADP Tax.
• Maintain payroll tax reporting records and support audits.
• Reconcile all payroll tax payments for timeliness and accuracy.
• Reconcile all garnishment payments for timeliness and accuracy.
• Set up garnishments in Infinium and ADP, including wage attachment orders.
• Support Payroll Compliance Manager with correspondence with payroll taxing authorities.
• Apply knowledge to improve department efficiency and streamline processes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or equivalent work experience.
• 1 year of full payroll cycle processing experience.
• Previous payroll processing experience within a multi-state and union environment is highly preferred.
