About the position

This role is responsible for establishing and maintaining employee payroll records, ensuring quality processing services, and delivering error-free payroll to team members. The position supports projects related to outsourced services for acquired organizations and assists with tax location setups in the Payroll system. It involves maintaining payroll tax reporting records, supporting audits, and reconciling payroll tax and garnishment payments for accuracy and timeliness. The role also includes correspondence with payroll taxing authorities and applying technology to enhance departmental efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain employee payroll records.
  • Provide quality processing services and error-free payroll to team members.
  • Support projects to set up outsourced services for acquired organizations.
  • Assist with setting up tax locations in the Payroll system and ADP Tax.
  • Maintain payroll tax reporting records and support audits.
  • Reconcile payroll tax payments for timeliness and accuracy.
  • Reconcile garnishment payments for timeliness and accuracy.
  • Set up garnishments in Infinium and ADP, including wage attachment orders.
  • Support Payroll Compliance Manager with correspondence with payroll taxing authorities.
  • Apply knowledge to improve department efficiency and streamline processes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or apparent.
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
  • Work collaboratively in a team environment, both physically and remotely.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or equivalent work experience.
  • 1 year of full payroll cycle processing experience.
  • Previous payroll processing experience within a multi-state and union environment is highly preferred.
