Baker Tilly is seeking a dedicated Payroll Consultant to provide direct support and consulting services to our payroll clients. This role requires a deep understanding of payroll processes and laws to ensure accurate and timely payroll management. The Payroll Consultant will work under the supervision of the Payroll Supervisor and will be responsible for independently managing client relationships while escalating issues as necessary for prompt resolution. The position involves ensuring that client payroll information is accurate within their specific payroll systems, reviewing and processing payrolls to meet deadlines, and preparing detailed reports of employee earnings, taxes, and deductions. In addition to client service, the Payroll Consultant will establish strong and trusted relationships with clients by effectively consulting on all payroll-related matters. Confidentiality is paramount, and the consultant must maintain the integrity of employee data. The role also includes providing technical software support, identifying out-of-scope work, and recognizing opportunities to expand services to clients. The consultant will also support the implementation team by managing new client implementation projects, ensuring timely completion, and training clients on payroll processes. Furthermore, the Payroll Consultant will serve as a resource for new hires and less experienced staff, providing feedback and sharing insights to build team capabilities. Continuous research and maintenance of product knowledge on ADP software platforms and current payroll practices are essential to this role.
