About the position

KPMG is seeking a Specialist, Power BI Developer to join its Deal Advisory practice. This role is crucial in designing, developing, and maintaining Power BI dashboards and reports that meet business requirements. The position emphasizes collaboration, adaptability, and continuous professional growth within a supportive team environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain Power BI dashboard and report that meet business requirements
• Connect to various data resources, import data, and transform data for Business Intelligence
• Implement row level security on data and understand application security layer models for Power BI and leverage Microsoft Fabric to support Power BI dashboard and deployment
• Develop DAX queries and calculations in Power BI reports
• Work closely with stakeholders to analyze business requirements and provide data driven solutions
• Optimize and improve existing BI systems and reports for performance and scalability
• Document all reports, dashboards and data models in detail
• Train and support business users in self-service BI

Requirements

• Minimum two years recent experience in Power BI Development or Data Analytics
• Bachelors degree from an accredited college/university, preference in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or related fields
• Strong understanding of Power BI application security layer models
• Proficient in DAX, SQL, and data model techniques; knowledge of Microsoft Fabric
• Experience connected Power BI to various data resources such as SQLServer, Azure, Excel, etc
• Ability to interpret business requirement and translate them into technical requirements
• Familiarity with other BI tool and data visualization best practices
• Willingness and ability to travel
