About the position

KPMG is seeking a Specialist, Power BI Developer to join their Deal Advisory practice. This role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining Power BI dashboards and reports to meet business requirements, while also ensuring data security and optimizing existing BI systems. The position emphasizes collaboration, adaptability, and continuous professional growth within a team-driven culture.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports that meet business requirements.
• Connect to various data resources, import data, and transform data for Business Intelligence.
• Implement row level security on data and understand application security layer models for Power BI.
• Leverage Microsoft Fabric to support Power BI dashboard and deployment.
• Develop DAX queries and calculations in Power BI reports.
• Work closely with stakeholders to analyze business requirements and provide data-driven solutions.
• Optimize and improve existing BI systems and reports for performance and scalability.
• Document all reports, dashboards, and data models in detail.
• Train and support business users in self-service BI.

Requirements

• Minimum two years recent experience in Power BI Development or Data Analytics.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or related fields.
• Strong understanding of Power BI application security layer models.
• Proficient in DAX, SQL, and data model techniques; knowledge of Microsoft Fabric.
• Experience connecting Power BI to various data resources such as SQLServer, Azure, Excel, etc.
• Ability to interpret business requirements and translate them into technical requirements.
• Familiarity with other BI tools and data visualization best practices.
• Willingness and ability to travel.
