About the position

The Specialist Procurement position at Merck Sharp & Dohme involves category management and sourcing within the Marketing Procurement organization, specifically focusing on Media. The role requires collaboration with regional and local teams to develop and implement sourcing strategies on a global scale, ensuring value creation, service delivery, and innovation. The candidate will lead cross-functional teams, manage supplier relationships, and utilize market knowledge to inform sourcing strategies.

Responsibilities

• Support Associate Director and SSC on projects and strategic initiatives to drive procurement value proposition in Media.
• Enhance Supplier Performance Management to improve service delivery.
• Sustain existing and develop new cooperation frameworks across multiple stakeholder groups within the Marketing organization.
• Utilize the Sourcing Management Process to ensure supply assurance, quality, service, cost, and regulatory compliance.
• Conduct RFIs, RFP/Qs, e-auctions, and quotation analysis.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in procurement or category management.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong analytical and rational thinking skills.
• Collaborative nature with the ability to connect and get things done across the organization.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
