About The Position

The Specialist, Procurement at Verint Systems, Inc. is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing contracts for software, SaaS, and cloud services. This role involves collaborating with various departments to determine purchasing strategies and ensuring compliance with procurement policies. The Specialist will also focus on achieving cost savings and enhancing vendor relationships through effective negotiation and market analysis.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • A minimum of 3 years of procurement experience in sourcing software, SaaS, and IaaS, with strong knowledge of software license and SaaS terms.
  • Highly organized with excellent time management skills, capable of handling multiple tasks and intense workloads.
  • Demonstrated personal attributes such as independence, confidence, integrity, determination, and thoroughness.
  • Strong collaborative skills in a cross-functional, complex environment.
  • Limited domestic travel to attend business meetings.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience managing software development and service provider vendors and expenses.
  • Professional Procurement qualification is desirable.
  • Familiarity with emerging technology related to third-party cloud services and cloud management tools.
  • Prior experience with a leading technology company.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in contractual and commercial negotiations with new and existing software, SaaS, and service provider vendors.
  • Ensure proper purchasing involvement in all major company vendor engagements and execute vendor management practices with strategic vendors.
  • Promote savings and value-add through proactive negotiations of new agreements and renewals, and lead benchmarking activities to compare supplier rates and cost models.
  • Participate in establishing, communicating, and implementing business goals and procurement improvements.
  • Establish global cooperation and alignment with IT, Finance, Legal, Services, and Operations.
  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with the Global Procurement policy and procedures.
