About the position

The Production Measurement Specialist at Venture Global LNG is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and reliability of measurement instrumentation at the Plaquemines LNG facility and other sites. This role involves inspecting, calibrating, and maintaining various measurement systems to support efficient and safe LNG operations. The specialist will collaborate with engineers, provide training, and ensure that all measurement data is accurately collected and communicated to the company's systems.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect and calibrate measurement instrumentation for the Plaquemines LNG facility and other facilities as required.
  • Ensure all meters are calibrated and inspected regularly, operating within design range and uncertainty.
  • Document operational and maintenance procedures for meters to ensure they are fit for purpose.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with existing measurement systems.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Provide training and guidance to staff on measurement instrumentation.
  • Collaborate with Measurement Engineers to maintain accurate production and pipeline surveillance systems.
  • Support field installation, startup, and troubleshooting of electronic and process control equipment.
  • Ensure accurate collection and communication of process data to SCADA and billing systems.
  • Research and recommend field electronics and process control equipment.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of metering systems, calibration records, and maintenance logs.

Requirements

  • 5 to 10 years of experience in instrumentation, measurements, and metering management systems.
  • Proficient knowledge of remote terminal units (RTU), process control systems (PLC), and data acquisition equipment.
  • Experience with Human Machine Interface (HMI) integration software and field electronics installation.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with process control equipment and field electronic devices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for managing stakeholders.
  • Ability to interpret codes, regulations, and standard practices.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the oil and gas industry, particularly in LNG or petrochemical sectors.
  • Project management skills and experience in planning and organization.
  • Technical writing skills for effective communication.
