About the position

The Specialist, Program Finance at L3Harris Technologies is responsible for directing the financial control of large and complex programs. This role involves working closely with Program Managers and functional teams to establish and maintain financial plans, perform analyses, and prepare reports to ensure compliance with contracts and government cost control guidelines. The specialist will conduct detailed financial analyses to provide insights into program health and monitor adherence to approved budgets.

Responsibilities

  • Direct financial control of large and complex programs.
  • Establish and maintain the program's financial plan.
  • Perform financial analyses such as funding profiles, sales outlook, and variance analysis.
  • Conduct detailed financial analysis to ensure financial objectives are met.
  • Interpret performance data on a weekly and monthly basis to provide early indicators of program health.
  • Monitor program adherence to approved budget.
  • Responsible for monthly financial forecasting and long-range planning focusing on Orders, Revenue, Profit, and Cash Flow.
  • Provide financial support and oversight of multiple government programs, including proposal support and program planning.
  • Collaborate with program teams to develop updated quarterly Estimates at Complete.
  • Communicate assumptions made when compiling program estimates and discuss key risks and opportunities.
  • Interface with Program Management, Accounting, Functional Leads, and customers as the primary source of financial information.
  • Update financial forecasts monthly with a focus on orders, sales, profit, and cash.
  • Support programs consisting of cost plus and fixed price work.
  • Provide financial analysis for audits and other financial activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
  • 3+ Years' Experience specific in Earned Value Management (EVM) and financial performance reporting.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with Earned Value Management concepts, tools, and principles.
  • Strong MS Excel capability.
  • Experience with Deltek Cobra, Oracle, Hyperion Smart View.
