About The Position

The Specialist, Right of Way, Real Estate and Damage Prevention role at Buckeye Partners is responsible for implementing Corporate Right of Way, Real Estate, and Damage Prevention Programs, Policies, Initiatives, and Projects to support Field Operations. This position requires a blend of technical knowledge in real estate and regulatory compliance, along with strong communication and organizational skills to effectively manage various responsibilities related to property acquisition and public awareness.

Requirements

  • Associates degree or equivalent level of coursework required.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred in Real Estate or other related discipline.
  • 2+ years experience in Right of Way, Real Estate or related fields required.
  • Basic knowledge of real property law and the real property appraisal processes helpful.

Nice To Haves

  • Notary Public status desired.
  • Exceptional communication skills - speaking, listening, and writing.
  • Effective negotiating strategies.
  • Good qualitative problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining and inputting all necessary data into the right of way database.
  • Assisting with acquiring necessary property, easements, licenses, leases, permits, and approvals for pipeline facilities.
  • Paying, monitoring, and tracking all rentals, licenses, and revolving permit fees.
  • Providing support for the preparation of easements and other documents and agreements.
  • Assisting with regulatory filings and compliance.
  • Leading efforts related to company Public Awareness by interfacing with third parties and ensuring reporting is completed.
