About the position

The Specialist Sales Operations Lead at AWS is responsible for supporting Worldwide Specialized Sales, Business Development, and Solution Architecture teams by optimizing business processes, systems, tools, analysis, and reporting. This role involves providing insights into accounts, territories, revenue, and compensation to enhance seller productivity and customer service. The Sales Operations Lead plays a crucial role in establishing operational excellence and making strategic business decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with sales leaders to implement and manage business processes and systems.
  • Create and manage mechanisms to optimize core sales operations functions such as goals and KPI reporting.
  • Provide valuable business insights for sales specialists and managers.
  • Become a subject matter expert on revenue, pipeline, compensation, and other key metrics.
  • Build scalable mechanisms and leverage automation to grow capacity in line with business growth.
  • Advocate for sales specialists and managers with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Support Sales Operations Managers in improving reporting tools and processes.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of Microsoft Excel experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • Experience developing and implementing systems/tools for CRM, variable compensation, revenue reporting, and forecasting.
  • Experience defining, refining, and implementing sales processes, procedures, and policies.
  • Experience with SFDC, SQL, data visualization tools, and advanced Excel skills.

  • Deep understanding of sales and business operations with a background in creating scalable programs for sales planning.
