About the position

The Specialist Sales Operations Lead at AWS is responsible for supporting the Worldwide Specialized Sales, Business Development, and Solution Architecture teams. This role involves partnering with sales leaders to implement and manage business processes, systems, tools, analysis, and reporting to optimize business functions. The position plays a critical role in establishing operational excellence and making important business decisions, providing valuable insights into accounts, territories, revenue, and compensation to enhance seller productivity and customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Create and manage mechanisms to optimize core sales operations functions such as goals and KPI reporting, variable compensation, revenue flow, and executive escalations and approvals.
  • Become a subject matter expert on revenue, pipeline, compensation, and other key metrics used to run the business.
  • Identify commonalities across stakeholders' business needs and build scalable mechanisms to leverage automation.
  • Ensure systems and processes enable the introduction of new products.
  • Advocate for sales specialists and managers with cross-functional stakeholders and peer operations organizations.
  • Support Sales Operations Managers in driving improvements to reporting tools, methods, and processes.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of Microsoft Excel experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Experience developing and implementing systems/tools utilized for CRM, variable compensation, revenue reporting, forecasting, Salesforce automation, etc.
  • Experience defining, refining and implementing sales processes, procedures and policies or equivalent
  • Experience with SFDC, SQL, data visualization tools, advanced Excel skills, SmartSheet
