About the position

The Specialist Sales Operations Lead at AWS is responsible for supporting Worldwide Specialized Sales, Business Development, and Solution Architecture teams. This role involves partnering with sales leaders to optimize business processes, systems, tools, analysis, and reporting to meet organizational goals. The position plays a critical role in establishing operational excellence and making important business decisions, focusing on enhancing seller productivity and customer service through valuable business insights.

Responsibilities

  • Create and manage mechanisms to optimize core sales operations functions such as goals and KPI reporting, variable compensation, and revenue flow.
  • Become a subject matter expert on revenue, pipeline, compensation, and other key metrics used to run the business.
  • Identify commonalities across stakeholders' business needs and build scalable mechanisms to grow capacity.
  • Ensure systems and processes enable the introduction of new products.
  • Advocate for sales specialists and managers with cross-functional stakeholders and peer operations organizations.
  • Support Sales Operations Managers in driving improvements to reporting tools, methods, and processes.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of Microsoft Excel experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Experience developing and implementing systems/tools for CRM, variable compensation, revenue reporting, forecasting, Salesforce automation, etc.
  • Experience defining, refining, and implementing sales processes, procedures, and policies or equivalent
  • Experience with SFDC, SQL, data visualization tools, advanced Excel skills, SmartSheet
