About the position

As a Specialist Solutions Architect for Data & AI at Amazon Web Services (AWS), you will be part of a dynamic team that focuses on providing innovative solutions to complex challenges faced by our customers. With over 8 years of experience in solutions architecture, particularly in AI/ML, Databases, Analytics, and Storage, you will leverage your expertise to craft scalable, flexible, and resilient technical architectures. Your role will involve engaging with decision-makers and guiding customers through the process of refactoring applications or designing new cloud-based systems. You will be instrumental in capturing customer feedback, advocating for enhancements to our roadmap, and anticipating customer requirements by working backwards from their needs. In this position, you will own technical engagements and define implementation architectures while serving as a subject-matter expert in AI/ML, Analytics, Database, and Storage solutions. Your contributions will enable customers to achieve successful outcomes on AWS, such as creating more scalable, resilient, and cost-efficient architectures. You will collaborate closely with AWS Professional Services and Partners to unblock customers and expedite their journey to production. Responsibilities

• Own technical engagements and define implementation architectures for customer solutions.
• Serve as a subject-matter expert in AI/ML, Analytics, Database, and Storage.
• Craft scalable, flexible, and resilient technical architectures to address complex customer challenges.
• Guide customers in refactoring applications or designing new cloud-based systems.
• Capture customer feedback and advocate for enhancements to the AWS roadmap.
• Anticipate customer requirements and work backwards from their needs to deliver effective solutions.
• Collaborate with AWS Professional Services and Partners to support customer implementation efforts.
• Produce content such as whitepapers, blogs, and workshops for customers and partners.

Requirements

• 8+ years of solutions architecture or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of experience within AI/ML, Databases, Analytics, and/or Storage.
• 5+ years of experience engaging with decision-makers.
• Proven ability to lead projects with complex challenges and deliver operationally excellent, cost-optimized solutions.
• Ability to lead a team or organization-wide initiative with partially defined business objectives.
• Strong communication skills across diverse audiences, both internally and externally.
• Ability to determine solution strategy and simplify or extend solutions for optimal outcomes.
• Ability to influence customer and internal business decision-makers as a technical thought leader.
