About the position

The ACT Peer Support Specialist Supervisor at Metrocare is a key member of the clinical treatment team, responsible for overseeing the delivery of trauma-informed care to individuals with mental health challenges. This role involves managing Peer Specialists, ensuring compliance with treatment protocols, and facilitating the development of individualized recovery plans. The supervisor utilizes their personal recovery experience to guide and support clients in their recovery journey, while also providing training and education to the team.

Responsibilities

  • Provide supervision and case consultation to Peer Specialists.
  • Ensure compliance with payer documentation requirements for supervised Peer Specialists.
  • Guide the recovery planning process and collaborate on goal setting.
  • Ensure Peer Specialists understand their responsibilities in the recovery plan.
  • Identify critical issues for the Clinical Manager's attention.
  • Work collaboratively with the treatment team using a strength-based approach.
  • Identify training and programming needs for Peer Specialists.
  • Assist in training and ongoing development of Peer Specialists and Recovery Specialists.
  • Network and advocate for expanded peer services.
  • Maintain knowledge about TMACT and assist with ACT program fidelity.
  • Conduct individual supervision and field-based observations for Peer Specialists.
  • Facilitate monthly meetings and training sessions with Peer Specialists.
  • Document all supervisory activities and ensure Continuous Quality Improvement protocols are followed.
  • Support clients in health and wellness activities and coping skills development.
  • Facilitate psycho-education and life skills development groups.
  • Maintain continuous services to an assigned caseload through various support services.
  • Assist clients in linking with resources and adjusting to new environments.
  • Complete paperwork requirements and maintain quality clinical records.
  • Work with family members to support client success.
  • Provide ongoing training for staff.

Requirements

  • Qualified Peer Supervisor (QPS) Certification is required.
  • Mental Health Peer Specialist Certification is required.
  • 2 years of experience working in ACT services is required.
  • Personal recovery experience required for mental health and/or substance use.

Nice-to-haves

  • WRAP Certification preferred.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.
  • Experience with trauma-informed services; Seeking Safety, Wellness Action Recovery Planning, and Motivational Interviewing preferred.
