About the position

The Systems Engineer Specialist will work closely with customers to design and implement new system functionalities, ensuring both new and legacy systems operate effectively. This role involves writing requirements, supporting development, and performing integration testing in various environments, including airborne and ground-based platforms. The specialist will also verify and validate system functionalities while maintaining customer satisfaction and adhering to project schedules and budgets.

Responsibilities

  • Interface with other Systems Engineers and Agile Development Engineering to understand new baseline functionality.
  • Work closely with L3Harris Internal Research and Development (IR&D) on proprietary ELINT technology.
  • Document system testing status and anomalies, verifying fixes for system hardware and software.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction with system performance through regular communication.
  • Develop and adhere to schedules and budgets for assigned work.
  • Provide regular status updates to management and customers.
  • Utilize online tools including Jira, DOORS, and Confluence for project management and documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field with four (4) years of prior systems RF and/or Programming experience, or a Graduate Degree with two (2) years of experience, or a minimum of eight (8) years of experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Active Secret clearance required at the time of hire, with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS w/SCI.
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Familiarity with RF design and ability to make accurate measurements with VNAs, Spec. Analyzers, logic analyzers, oscilloscopes.

Nice-to-haves

  • Active Top Secret with SCI clearance.
  • Military or ELINT operator experience.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, specifically SAP.
  • Experience with FDTD or MoM modeling.
  • Knowledge in data reduction and direction finding calibration.
  • Familiarity with parallel computing and basic networking concepts.
  • Experience with Linux administration, Bash scripting, and Windows administration.
  • Cybersecurity Certification such as Sec+, CASP+, CySA or CISSP.
