About the position

As a Specialist in Talent Acquisition Programs at Walgreens, you will support the strategic aspects of the talent acquisition function, focusing on sourcing and pipelining talent through various initiatives including brand marketing, diversity outreach, and early career programs. This role provides exposure to Walgreens' employer branding and marketing efforts, as well as involvement in internship and rotational programs that attract early talent. You will also assist in diversity scholarship programs and collaborate with partner organizations to promote an inclusive workforce.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and assist in developing process documentation for the end-to-end recruiting process.
  • Research and stay current on market trends in Talent Acquisition, providing feedback and suggestions to TA Leaders.
  • Partner with other HR areas, including HR Shared Services, for logistics support on Talent Acquisition programs.
  • Maintain relationships with external vendors and monitor their service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Act as the point of contact for issues from external vendors and partners.
  • Collaborate with HRIS to recommend system enhancements and identify opportunities for more efficient processes.
  • Coordinate hiring events and campus recruiting initiatives in conjunction with field and corporate leadership.
  • Partner with TA leaders to make recommendations on process, technology, and candidate and hiring manager experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and at least six months of experience in talent acquisition, talent management, or human resources, or a high school/GED with at least 4 years of experience in the same fields.
  • Experience establishing and maintaining relationships with individuals at all levels of the organization and with vendors.
  • Experience providing customer service to internal or external customers, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluating customer satisfaction.
  • Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Excel, including functions like SUM, sorting, and inserting charts.
  • Intermediate level skill in Microsoft PowerPoint, including formatting, inserting pictures, and customizing slide layouts.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field such as human resources or business administration.
  • Master's degree or MBA.
  • At least one year of experience in talent acquisition, talent management, or human resources.
  • Experience in retail or healthcare sectors.
  • Experience with project management, including planning and organizing resources.
  • Experience with professional writing and familiarity with promoting on social media.
  • Creating digital designs, preferably in Canva or similar tools.
