About the position

As a Specialist Talent Acquisition at VCI Construction, you will play a crucial role in the HR department by supporting hiring managers in fulfilling their recruitment needs. This position requires strong organizational and computer skills, effective communication, and the ability to build relationships. You will be responsible for managing the full life cycle of recruiting, ensuring a smooth process from applicant screening to onboarding.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with hiring managers to understand hiring requirements for each role.
  • Coordinate the full life cycle recruiting for various open positions.
  • Assist hiring managers with applicant screening, phone screening, interview scheduling, onboarding, and hiring qualified candidates.
  • Maintain the Applicant Tracking System (ICIMS) by reviewing applicants in a timely manner and refreshing requisitions every 60 days.
  • Prepare and send offer letters to selected candidates.
  • Schedule clinic appointments for physicals and drug screens, and perform background checks.
  • Work with the HR team to develop and implement recruitment strategies.
  • Develop and maintain networking relationships with community, college, university, and industry-related organizations.
  • Work efficiently in a high-volume fast-paced environment.
  • Attend job fairs and perform other HR duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Authorization to work in the United States.
  • AA Degree in HR, business, or a relevant field.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience/knowledge in HR and recruitment processes.
  • Knowledgeable of California hiring laws and practices, scheduling, interviews, onboarding processes, new hire orientation, HRIS systems, and computer skills.
  • Proficient with MS Suite, Word, MS Excel, and SmartSheet.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
