About the position

The Specialist, Technical Illustrator position at L3Harris involves collaborating with a team to produce high-quality technical illustrations for manuals and training materials related to tactical radio and satellite communication products. Responsibilities

• Collaborate with technical writers to produce high-quality illustrations for manuals and training materials.
• Utilize CAD drawings, actual equipment, and other data to develop clear, concise, and accurate visual representations of products.
• Use illustration software such as Adobe Illustrator, CorelDRAW, or similar to create vector graphics and 3D models.
• Ensure all technical illustrations meet company standards and comply with industry regulations.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, maintaining a high level of precision and attention to detail.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience with Technical Illustration, or a Graduate Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience, or in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.

Nice-to-haves

• Military Communications experience and/or prior experience in a high-tech or defense industry
• Proficiency in CorelDRAW, CAD, and 3D rendering tools
• Strong understanding of engineering concepts and the ability to interpret technical documents
• Experience developing technical documentation in accord with MIL Standards
• Familiarity with Adobe Technical Communication Suite tools
