About the position

The Specialist Technical Support Representative for the Fire Industry at E-ONE is responsible for providing effective communication and support to dealers and customers, assisting in the delivery of fire trucks, and offering training on vehicle operation and maintenance. This role involves troubleshooting service and parts issues, disseminating technical information, and liaising with various stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction and brand loyalty.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in resolving service and parts problems while maintaining a professional image.
  • Disseminate technical information and act as a liaison for dealers and customers.
  • Provide in-house training for dealers, customers, and factory personnel.
  • Interact with dealers, customers, and vendors to consult on installation or application problems.
  • Coordinate delivery of new vehicles and aftermarket parts sales with the Service Department.
  • Troubleshoot and document any shortages, initiating corrective measures as needed.
  • Provide necessary training to customer personnel and establish relationships to encourage brand loyalty.
  • Arrange for periodic vehicle inspections and assist in resolving difficult field repairs.
  • Develop training resources, including manuals and videos, and prepare training aids such as instructional materials and evaluation forms.
  • Administer and evaluate training program qualification tests and determine eligibility of prospective attendees.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • High mechanical aptitude with good teaching, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Broad knowledge of mechanics, plumbing, electrical systems, paint, body repair, and hydraulics.
  • Proficient computer skills and strong customer relations experience.
  • Two years of college or trade school specializing in mechanics, electrical, hydraulics, or engines, or a minimum of five years of experience in field service or on E-ONE fire apparatus.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in technical support within the fire industry or similar fields.
  • Familiarity with training program development and evaluation.
