About the position

The Specialist Technician role is focused on providing field support to Lease Operations, R&D, and OEM customers globally. The position emphasizes coordination and fulfillment of successful field operations tests while ensuring customer needs are met and daily operations are minimally disrupted. The technician will lead teams, troubleshoot complex equipment issues, and deliver training to enhance operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Provide field support to Lease Operations, R&D, and OEM customers.
• Demonstrate discretion in advising customers on warranty claims and safe equipment operation.
• Lead teams of up to 12 people in upgrade and overhaul projects.
• Schedule technician visits using EAM work order system.
• Utilize Rockwell Automation software to troubleshoot equipment problems.
• Diagnose and repair machine control systems and device level networks.
• Design and deliver training for internal and external customers.
• Analyze performance indicators to recommend design changes.
• Maintain certifications and stay current in technical education.

Requirements

• Associates Degree in Automation, Fluid Power, Electronics, Robotics, Computer Science, or similar.
• 5+ years of experience developing and troubleshooting PLC and HMI software.
• 5+ years of experience troubleshooting electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic circuits.
• Demonstrated experience with hardware and software repair of PLC and Industrial PC systems.
• Strong working knowledge in reading and troubleshooting Rockwell Software PLC and HMI software.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Software Engineering.
• 1+ years of programming experience with languages such as C#, HTML, and Java Script.
• 1+ years of experience with database software such as Microsoft SQL Server.
