About the position

The Specialist, Vault Operations plays a crucial role within the Servicing Organization at Onity Group Inc. This position is designed to provide and maintain activities that support Records Services, ensuring that all inquiries are handled promptly and efficiently. The Specialist will be expected to perform their duties in a courteous and professional manner, adhering to investor servicing guidelines as well as internal policies and procedures. This role is integral to maintaining the integrity and accessibility of collateral files, which are essential for the company's operations in mortgage servicing and origination. In this position, the Specialist will be responsible for various tasks related to collateral file management, including receiving and pulling collateral files, returning collateral files, scanning and imaging documents, and interfiling documents. Additionally, the Specialist may be assigned special projects that require attention to detail and organizational skills. The ability to work independently while maintaining good communication with team members and other departments is essential for success in this role. The work environment is dynamic, and the Specialist must be flexible and adaptable to changes in processes and procedures. The role may also require the ability to lift up to 30 pounds and stand for extended periods, as well as bend and reach overhead as necessary. Overall, the Specialist, Vault Operations is a vital team player who contributes to the efficiency and effectiveness of the Servicing Organization at Onity Group Inc.

Responsibilities

  • Receive and pull collateral files.
  • Return collateral files to the appropriate locations.
  • Scan and image documents for digital records.
  • Interfile documents to maintain organized records.
  • Perform special projects and additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, equivalent certification, or military experience required.
  • Ability to lift 30 pounds.
  • Ability to stand for an entire 8-hour shift.
  • Ability to bend to the floor and/or reach overhead for long periods of time.
  • Ability to work independently with good organizational skills.
  • Outstanding communication skills, including verbal, written, and listening skills.
  • Good organizational skills and professionalism.
  • Computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office, Access, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Understanding of network systems preferred.
  • Ability to work overtime as required.
