As a Specialty Sales Associate (Jewelry) at Navy Exchange Mayport, you will serve as the face of our company, playing a crucial role in enhancing our brand image and reputation. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering premier customer service by actively engaging with customers, asking questions to understand their needs, and directing them to appropriate merchandise. You will inform customers about upcoming events, promotions, and mobile offers, while also utilizing your product knowledge to demonstrate features and make comparisons with similar products. Additionally, you may be required to take measurements for tailored clothing or military uniforms to ensure proper fit. Your sales responsibilities will include cross-selling products, upselling based on customer needs, and keeping up with the latest trends. You will leverage company tools and technology to confidently provide customers with product specifications and knowledge. Handling cash transactions accurately through a Point-of-Sales system will also be part of your duties, along with completing necessary paperwork and managing special order requests. Maintaining the store's appearance and participating in inventory processes will be essential to ensure that merchandise is properly checked in and ticketed. Dependability is crucial, as you will need to adhere to your assigned work schedule and follow through on work assignments accurately. Overall, this position requires a blend of customer service, sales acumen, and organizational skills to thrive in a retail environment.
Responsibilities
- Proactively engage and connect with customers.

Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- 1-2 years of retail or relevant work experience required.
- 6 months of product-specific experience required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to read, write, and interpret instructional documents.
- Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Ability to use a calculator and calculate percentages and ratios.
- Ability to multi-task and remain flexible to business needs.
- Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative independently.
- Ability to understand and problem-solve customer needs.
