About the position

The Specialized Analytics Senior Lead is a strategic professional responsible for leveraging expertise in data analytics to influence business strategies and outcomes. This role requires excellent communication and diplomacy skills to negotiate with senior-level stakeholders and manage significant business results. The position involves staff management, resource allocation, and technical strategy oversight, primarily affecting a sub-function within the organization.

Responsibilities

• Work with large and complex data sets to evaluate, recommend, and support the implementation of business strategies.
• Identify and compile data sets using tools like SQL and Access to predict and measure business outcomes.
• Document data requirements, data collection, processing, cleaning, and exploratory data analysis, utilizing statistical models and data visualization techniques.
• Assess risk in business decisions, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, and managing control issues transparently.
• Execute underwriting responsibilities, including acquisition and evaluation of quantitative data for oil and gas assets.
• Organize and present oil and gas cash flow projections using engineering software and Excel-based credit models.
• Prepare narrative engineering reports and internal documentation related to the oil and gas portfolio.
• Facilitate relationships with key clients and regulators, and support strategic initiatives/projects.

Requirements

• Working experience in the financial industry preferred.
• Deep modeling expertise and experience with analytic techniques and tools.
• Excellent analytical thinking and practical problem-solving abilities.
• 10+ years of relevant experience, preferably with some field experience in petroleum engineering.
