About the position

The Benefits Compliance Manager will oversee all regulatory and legislative compliance matters related to our US healthcare programs and ensure strong governance and compliance oversight practices and procedures are in place across our programs and vendor partners. This role will report to the Senior Manager, US Health & Well-being Strategy and will support the fiduciary governance deliverables for our US ERISA administrative committee with accountability to the Senior Manager of RBW Global Governance respectively. The Specialized Human Resources Manager develops effective policies and programs in a specialized Human Resources unit and acts as a subject matter expert in own area of expertise. In this position, the manager will develop proposals and recommendations related to policies and practices within their specialized area, serving as a key contact for complex issues and programs. They will work closely with assigned HR partners to ensure business needs are met and will interpret data to assess risks associated with policies and programs, escalating issues as necessary. The manager may lead a team of Human Resources professionals, ensuring that business partners and HR are provided with high-quality advice and support. They will monitor and communicate the effectiveness of strategies, programs, and practices related to their area of expertise, ensuring compliance with internal and external requirements. The role also involves developing and managing a team of high-quality resources through recruitment, training, coaching, and performance management. The manager will provide input to the department's business plan and monitor actual results, leading action planning to address employee survey results. They will analyze and interpret information, providing opinions and recommendations while ensuring integration of other areas of expertise in the development and delivery of programs and policies. Post-implementation reviews will be conducted to recommend or take action as appropriate.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret data and assess risks associated with policies and programs; escalate as required.
  • Lead a team of Human Resources professionals, ensuring high-quality advice and support is provided to business partners and HR.
  • Monitor and communicate the effectiveness of strategies, programs, and practices related to the area of expertise.
  • Develop and manage a team of high-quality resources through recruitment, training, coaching, and performance management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or progressive work experience in addition to 7+ years of related experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of a specialized Human Resources function.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to deal with all levels of management.
  • Strong customer service orientation and ability to establish strong working relationships with internal and external clients.
