About the position

The Specialized Operations Associate at Saks Digital Return is responsible for managing daily operations within the General Office and the Jewelry Department. This role involves ensuring smooth operational functions, handling customer issues, and maintaining compliance with company standards. The position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment under minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Open the store, including safe, controller, registers, and distributing reports.
  • Maintain daily functions such as morning cash entry, processing bank deposits, reconciling chargebacks, and counting register and petty cash.
  • Resolve customer issues, both internal and external, including researching and processing customer packages.
  • Follow Jewelry Standards and Shipping Guidelines for operations.
  • Receive, verify, and properly book all jewelry according to company standards.
  • Process re-tickets, RTV's, Transfers, ASN Shipments, and price changes effectively.
  • Retrieve and process all merchandise for returns/transfers to vendors as per company standards.
  • Ensure case counts are completed and all merchandise is entered into the case count system after receipt, reconciling discrepancies.
  • Maintain a repair log and track all repairs sent to vendors or local shops, submitting repair invoices as needed.
  • Receive and verify merchandise for trunk shows, assisting in show set-up/take down and recap results.
  • Prepare and submit special order requests and Statements of Sale when requested.
  • Communicate with Corporate Merchants, Accounts Payable, Inventory Control, and vendors as needed.
  • Ensure internal audit readiness and compliance with internal audit standards.
  • Assist managers and associates on the selling floor as necessary.
  • Process fulfillment orders and handle ad hoc responsibilities as needed.

Requirements

  • Ability to lift cartons up to 15 lbs, climb ladders, and handle racks and carts of merchandise.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Google and MS Office.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with minimal supervision.
  • Flexibility to work a schedule that meets business needs.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to store policies and procedures to aid in decision-making.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in retail operations or jewelry handling.
