About the position

The Specialized Operations Associate at Saks Digital Return is responsible for managing daily operations within the General Office and the Jewelry Department. This role involves ensuring smooth operational functions, maintaining financial accuracy, and providing excellent customer service while adhering to company standards.

Responsibilities

  • Open the store, including safe, controller, registers, and distributing reports.
  • Maintain daily functions such as morning cash entry, processing bank deposits, reconciling chargebacks, and counting register and petty cash.
  • Resolve customer issues, both internal and external, including researching and processing payments and tracking customer packages.
  • Follow Jewelry Standards and Shipping Guidelines for all jewelry operations.
  • Receive, verify, and properly book all jewelry in accordance with company standards.
  • Process re-tickets, RTVs, Transfers, ASN Shipments, and price changes effectively.
  • Retrieve and process all merchandise to be returned or transferred to the vendor according to company standards.
  • Ensure case counts are completed, merchandise is entered into the case count system, and discrepancies are reconciled.
  • Maintain a repair log, track repairs sent to vendors or local shops, and submit repair invoices.
  • Receive and verify all merchandise for trunk shows, assist in show set-up/take down, and recap results.
  • Prepare and submit all special order requests and Statements of Sale when requested.
  • Communicate with Corporate Merchants, Accounts Payable, Inventory Control, and vendors as needed.
  • Ensure internal audit readiness and compliance with internal audit standards.
  • Assist managers and associates on the selling floor as necessary.
  • Process fulfillment orders and handle ad hoc responsibilities as needed.

Requirements

  • Ability to lift cartons up to 15 lbs, climb ladders, and handle racks and carts of merchandise.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Google and MS Office, with the ability to adapt to changing technology.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment that requires a high degree of multi-tasking with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule as per business needs and adhere to dependability standards.
  • Demonstrates attention to detail and maintains an organized personal workspace.
  • Ability to store policies and procedures to assist in decision-making.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, capable of handling telephone and face-to-face interactions professionally.
  • Maintains confidentiality when handling sensitive issues.
