About the position

The Specialized Tax Services - Accounting Methods Manager at PwC is responsible for advising clients on their tax obligations and providing strategic consulting related to business analysis, working capital management, and profit sharing. This role involves helping organizations understand pricing implications and tax implications of deals, ensuring compliance, and identifying cash tax savings opportunities. As a manager, the individual will lead a team, develop skills, coach others, and analyze complex business issues to provide meaningful recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on local and overseas tax affairs.
• Act as a strategic consultant related to business analysis and profit sharing.
• Help organizations understand pricing implications of goods and services between related parties.
• Provide advice on tax implications of deals.
• Identify qualifying cash tax savings and refund opportunities.
• Gauge the impact of deductions and credits on the effective tax rate.
• Develop new skills outside of comfort zone.
• Resolve issues that prevent the team from working effectively.
• Coach team members and encourage personal development.
• Analyze complex ideas and build meaningful recommendations.
• Use data and insights to inform conclusions and support decision-making.
• Manage a variety of viewpoints to build consensus and create positive outcomes.
• Simplify complex messages and highlight key points.

Requirements

• Bachelor Degree in Taxation, Accounting, Accounting & Finance, or Accounting & Technology.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in a related field.
• CPA, Member of the Bar, or other relevant credentials.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of accounting methods studies and revenue recognition issues.
• Experience with FAS 109 and compliance.
• Considerable knowledge of inventory management.
