About the position

Eaton's IS AER FED division is seeking a Specialty Assembly Operator responsible for producing specialty hose or coupling assemblies. The role involves working across all three shifts and requires active participation in maintaining a safe workplace while improving manufacturing processes. The operator will utilize machines and hand tools for assembly, conduct tests on assemblies, and perform inspections using various equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all duties necessary to produce specialty hose or coupling assemblies.
  • Actively participate in creating a safe workplace and following safety best practices.
  • Work on cross-functional Lean/Continuous Improvement Teams to enhance manufacturing process efficiency and customer quality and delivery performance.
  • Assemble products using machines and hand tools.
  • Test assemblies using test machinery.
  • Inspect parts using fixtures, gages, and other inspection equipment.
  • Extensively use computers to view and edit manufacturing documents, transact inventory, and enter/track/maintain/analyze production data.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum education of a high school diploma or GED completion required.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a manufacturing environment required.
  • Ability to read blueprints and gauges, micrometers, and other forms of measurement.
  • Must be a U.S. person as defined by ITAR regulations.

Nice-to-haves

  • Associates Degree or higher from an accredited institution preferred.
  • Experience with production and inventory tracking software preferred.
  • Demonstrated aptitude using computers, math, and blueprint reading skills.
